Though sarees have become so trendy (thanks to the bollywood actresses who sizzle in sarees), they have always carried forward the legacy and represented our rich sub-continental culture. There are numerous types of sarees which represent a unique culture or state. Today, we are going to talk about some of the most famous types of sarees that make us feel proud.


Kanjeevaram sarees: The entire woman population in subcontinent love these vibrant sarees famous for their temple patterns. The fabric is best choice for bridal sarees.Dhakai sarees: These sarees belong to Dhaka, Bangladesh and are one of the most awesome kinds of cotton sarees.


Tant: If we had called it by the name of Bengali sarees, you would have instantly recognized what we're talking about. This stiffly starched saree contains excellent workmanship and is a wardrobe staple. Paithani: In the time of great Maratha Kings, these sarees were weaved with threads made from real gold. Now, the golden work in Paithani Sarees is really famous, especially in Maharashtra, India.

Sambalpuri sarees: There is a small place known as Sambalpur in Orrisa which gave birth to a unique style of embroidery that is now done on cotton and silk fabric. Sambalpuri sarees are one of a kind embroidered sarees.Pattu sarees: These kinds of sarees are so simple yet stylish. White sarees with golden borders - that's it.

Assam silk: Assam Silk is the best silk produced in the country and we all know how much women love silk. Don't you? One more reason behind the fame of Assam Silk sarees is the delicate weaving style as well as the thread work.

Banarasi sarees: Oh! How can we forget these gems? With rich colors and fine texture, these top the list of best bridal sarees in the country.
