Three alleged snatchers held in Chattogram

Member of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested three alleged snatchers with knives from Chock Bazar area in the port city on Monday night.

The detainees were identified as Md Ahsan Habib, 19, Md Sohel, 20 and Md Manik, 25, residents of different areas of the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive near Goni Bakery in college road area and arrested them while they were taking preparation for snatching.

The team also recovered three knives from their possessions, said a Rab press release. Later, the arrestees were handed over to Chock Bazar Police Station.
