Lost in food of Guhaa

Inspired by the Cave like ambience, Guhaa, The Cave Kitchen exudes an impersonal vibe with the warm tones furnishing. The three friends have created this restaurant in 2015. With only 26 seats, extraordinary cuisine and casual but refined approach to fine dining Guhaa brings refreshing food experience.

There's a phenomenally good steak, beautifully marinated and served with French fries/mashed potato/sautéed vegetables. Cashew nut Salad is made with roasted cashew nuts, lettuce, capsicum, onion, sliced boneless chicken is worth a try. While you're waiting for your salad, it's worth getting an order of, Lasagna, the Italian dish made with pasta sheet, minced meat and cheese.

For seafood items, the star of the show is definitely the Deep fried breaded squid. Another two dishes that you shouldn't miss are Crab Meat and Calamari. Meat & mushroom pizza is a hit. I enjoy the crunchy crust, subtly spiced and marinated meat and sweet tomato sauce.

The most common order is special combo or set menu with a generous serving of Egg fried rice and powerfully fragrant BBQ chicken and delicious vegetable. To indulge my thirst it's not easy to choose from the delectable varieties of beverages. From fruit juices such as orange, green apple, pineapple to bite-sized mocktails, shakes and smoothies, the section is as vast and varied as the main courses.

The Chocolate lava cake is a must-have. The cake is impossibly moist and served with ice cream and made with liquid hot chocolate. "Guhaa has long been known to be a place where people hang out to enjoy memorable moments. We will ensure that when you walk into our door, you will have a great dining experience. You can enjoy Live Music on every Friday and candle light dinner on every Thursday," said Rabib, one of the owner.

"We have four types of Iftar platter, where we include a good mix of dishes for every palate," he added. The well-arranged iftar has the staples such as dates, mixed fruits and watermelon juice with a good portion of Chowmein, shawarma, Peri Peri Rice or Mexican Rice. While chicken lovers are spoilt for choice of healthy options to choose from Sweet and Sour Chicken, Lollipop, Chicken Steak Chicken Cheese Burger, Chicken Oregano Grilled or Shashlik.

With smiles and enthusiasm, each staff is well equipped with the knowledge to suggest their best sellers and recommend the food which will best match the customer's cravings for the day. Guhaa is located at Satmasjid Road, Dhanmondi. While the food is reasonable, it's the unique coral surroundings and soft lantern-light that makes eating here memorable. The food is spectacular.
