World Hypertension Day today

The country will celebrate the World Hypertension Day today like other countries in the globe with the theme of 'Know your numbers with a goal of increasing high blood pressure (BP) awareness in all populations around the world'.

To mark the Day, a seminar will be jointly organized by Director General Health Services and icddr,b at Sasakawa auditorium of icddr,b.
Professor AHM Enayet Hussain, ADG, DGHS (Planning and Development) will preside a scientific session in observing the day followed by an event for raising awareness about hypertension control among the icddr,b colleagues.

National Professor Brigadier (Rtd) Abdul Malik and Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Bangabanndhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Professor Kanak Kanti Barua will be present at the program. Moreover, rallies and discussions are scheduled to be held in districts and upazilas across the country.
