KSRM owner also accused
A case has been filed in connection with Monday's stampede that left 11 people killed while collecting iftar items at Nolua union in Satkania upazila of the port city.
Mohammad Islam, husband of victim Hasina Akhter of Khagria union, filed the case with Satkania Police Station accusing Kabir Steel and Re-Rolling Mills (KSRM) owner Mohammad Shahjahan and several others, said Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of the police station.
At least 11 people were killed and 50 others injured as they scrambled to collect iftar items distributed by the management of KSRM at its owner's native village on Monday. People across the country have expressed deep shock at such tragic deaths of innocent people.
