Satkhira emerge men's champions, Khulna clinch women's trophy

Satkhira District clinched the 3rd national men's title and Khulna District lifted the first women's crown in the Gazi Tyres and the Blazer BD national men's and women's Sepak takraw (kick volleyball) Championships that concluded on Monday at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium, said a press release.

Satkhira clinched team title beating Khulna District by straight 2-0 sets while Khulna District annexed the women's title defeating Rangamati District by 2-1 sets in their respective finals. In the men's doubles, Riaz and Zakir partner of Dhaka District lifted the title beating Chattogram pair Moklesh and Sagar by 21-9, 21-17 points in the finals on Monday.

Director General of Labour Division of the Labour and Employment Ministry Shib Nath Roy was the chief guest in the finals and later he distributed the prizes.

Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, President of Bangladesh Sepak takraw Association Kazi Rajibuddin Ahmed Chapal and general secretary Mohammad Faruk Dali were also present on the occasion.
