A glance of hope

  • Print

The year 2017 gave a big hope for the Bangladeshi film industry with blockbuster films like Dhaka Attack, Nabab, Boss 2, Rajneeti, Doob, Haldaa. These films were able to draw huge audience back to the cinema halls, as well as earning money.

However, the star of 2018 was not as good as it was expected. Compared to 2017, fewer movies were released so far and most of them failed to attract audiences. Some big budgeted movies with prominent stars have failed as well.

At this time, the Dhallywood industry is facing a serious drought and just like a small cloud can raise hope in drought; Poramon 2 is showing a ray of hope in the Dhallywood industry.  Recently the teaser of Poramon 2 was released and many audiences showed positive reactions towards it.

This is the first film of Raihan Rafi, as well as for Siam Ahmed as well. Siam, one of the popular young sensations in small screen is stepping foot in film industry with this movie. With them, the film has Puja Cherry who recently bagged some big budgeted movies. With all, Poramon 2 has been in the center of discussion for months, and the teaser indeed did the justice.

Although Poramon 2 is an original story, it is considered to be the sequel of super hit film Poramon in 2013. Like the first one, this sequel will also portray two characters named Sujona and Pori. The story will also be a tragedy romantic like the previous one.

The love between Sujon and Pori is divine. But social divide and discrimination brings tragedy between them. In the teaser, Sujon is seen saying, "If Pori gets married, she will marry kamla Sujon." On the other hand, Pori questions, "Why does God create love if there is so much agony?"
