Top 12 Finalists have been selected for Get In The Ring (GITR) Dhaka 2018 Grand Finale. The finalist selection round was held on 21 April 2018 in the permanent campus of Daffodil International University in Ashulia, Dhaka. In Bangladesh, Daffodil International University is the National Host of this international startup competition since 2015.
Among 358 business models, 12 teams with their business models got selected to pitch in the Grand Finale. The finalist teams are from Jahangirnagar University (JU), Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), BRAC University (BRACU), North South University (NSU), United International University (UIU), Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST), University of Development Alternative (UODA), The Technical University of Applied Science, Germany and Daffodil International University (DIU). The Jury Members were Mr. Quazi M. Ahmed, Lead Consultant & CEO of Future Leaders, Mr. Golam Monowar Kamal, Managing Director, Bangladesh Venture Capital Ltd., Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Director of Career Development Center, Mr. Mahbub Parvez, Head, Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Mr. Mohammad Shibli Shahriar, Head, Department of Entrepreneurship, Ms. Sabiha Matin, Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Administration of DIU. The Finalist Selection Round was presented by country's renowned corporate leader and stand-up comedian, Mr. Naveed Mahbub.
The Get in the Ring Foundation is an organization that gives startups a fun and global podium to make valuable connections to start, grow and scale up their business.
The Foundation is active in 100+ countries and works together with leaders of entrepreneurship ecosystems around the world. Get in the Ring is known for its innovative format where startups literally face off in a boxing ring. A battle between 2 startups consists of 5 30-second rounds about the team, achievements, and business model.
Now let's join the Grand Finale of GITR Dhaka 2018 that will be held in the permanent campus of Daffodil International University in Ashulia on 30 April 2018 to find out the winner who will join the Global Meet up in Netherlands at the end of May 2018.
