East Delta, Independent get wins in Dakhina Inter-University Cricket

East Delta University (EDU) and Chittagong Independent University (CIU) secured victories against their rivals in the Dakhina Inter-University T20 Cricket matches at Chittagong Divisional Women's Complex Ground on Monday.

EDU crushed Premier University (PU) by six wickets while CIU beat Chittagong University (CU) by 17 runs.

EDU chased down a target of 140 for 4 in 18.3 overs after restricting PU on 139/10 in 19.2 overs.

Wahidul Alam was adjudged man of the match for an all-round performance as with bat he scored 19 and got one wicket with ball for the winning team.

Sent in to bat first, CIU scored 158 for 9 in 20 overs before dismissing CU for 141 in 17 overs.  

Tarek Kamal hammered a half century of 70 off 48 balls, including eight boundaries and three sixes, for the winners and was adjudged man of the match.
