UZ chairman’s son lands in jail for ’03 killing of minor
A youth was sent to jail Monday as an accused in the killing of Ali-ullah in Teknaf upazila on Monday.
The convict was identified as Didar Miah, son of upazila chairman Jafor Alam.
Cox’s Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farhad passed the order in the court in the noon.
According to the case statement, Ali-ullah, 7, son of Mohammad Abdullah was slaughtered to death by miscreants on September 9, 2011.
Soon after the murder, father Mohammad Ali, also the general secretary of upazila BNP filed a murder case against six.
During the investigation of CID, two others named Didar Miah and Muhibullah were enlisted in the same case. Of them, Didar Miah was on bail and Muhibullah was fugitive.
In the noon, the court sent Didar Miah to jail when he came to give attendance in the court. Two others were fugitive in this case.
