Police arrest nineteen
Police, in special drives arrested 16 persons including two activists of BNP from different areas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am on Monday morning. Law enforcers also recovered 109 bottles of Phensidyl and 3,500 pieces of cow fattening tablets during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district. During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested five persons including two activists of BNP from Gopalganj Bazar area around 7am under Sadar upazila, Birganj Thana police arrested three persons, Khansama Thana police arrested two persons, Kaharole Thana police arrested one person, Nawabganj Thana police arrested two persons and Chirirbandar Thana police arrested three persons.
