UPDF activist hacked dead in Rangamati

A member of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) was hacked to death by some miscreants at his residence in Bagaichhari upazila on early Sunday.  The deceased was identified as Natun Moni Chakma, 42, of Balukhali village in the upzaila.

Locals said some miscreants hacked dead Natun Moni with sharp weapons when he was sleeping at his yard. On information, police recovered the body in the morning and sent to Khagrachhari Hospital morgue for autopsy.

However, who were involved in the killing could not be known immediately, said Amir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station.
