Skin rejuvenating tips to get ready for spring

  • Print

The blooms of spring are going to color your world and fill it with cheers. In India spring is very pleasant with sweet fragrances of beautiful flowers. This season represents happiness bringing you the colors of Holi, Vasanta panchami, Bihu and many joyful festivals. Occasions like weddings are mostly celebrated during spring days in India owing to the beautiful nature. Welcome the fun filled days of the cozy weather while you beautify your skin with few simple tips.

Change your cream: Swap your heavy winter creams with light moisturizers. With the increased humidity, winter creams are more prone to clog your pores and cause acne. Choose water thin moisturizers this season to avoid increased sebum. If you got a heavy cream, you can add a drop of water to make it thin and feel light. Use creams very sparingly and allow time to absorb. It is better to choose moisturizers that are meant for oily skin throughout spring and summer.

Change your foundations:
Just like your heavy moisturizer, you need to change your heavy foundations too. Instead of foundations, it is a perfect time to go for tinted moisturizers, BB creams, CC creams with SPF. You will be able to avoid layering different products if you just choose one of such creams with a good SPF to give an all-in-one action for your skin. Be sure your creams are non-comedogenic.

Exfoliate: It is important to exfoliate your skin throughout the year, but it is more necessary after the winter months. Exfoliating one to two times a week and treating yourself with an exfoliation treatment or chemical peel at the start of spring is often necessary to slough off the dead cells and to discover the smooth skin underneath.

Warning: Never use scrubs with beads or harsh ingredients that can cause micro-tears in the skin.

Bath more:
Throughout spring and summer, it is good to bath more times. It helps the skin to absorb the products well. The water molecules help to polarize your skin, allowing for a deeper product penetration. Enjoy soaking yourself in your bathtub and enhance this by adding your favorite essential oils or bath salts.

Everything SPF (Sun Protection Factor):
It's important to use products with SPF all the year round, but more particularly you need high SPF during springs and summers. Wear SPF 30 or higher and apply 15 minutes before you go outside and reapply every two hours or if you get wet. Don't forget to use lip balm with SPF or just use a moisturizer with SPF in it.
