Anonno Mamun released from Malaysian detention

Malaysian authorities have released Bangladeshi filmmaker and screenwriter Anonno Mamun on Thursday, who was detained last month on charges of human trafficking. He will return to Bangladesh on Saturday, confirmed the director himself.

"I will return to Bangladesh on Saturday," he said during a phone conversation. "I have been played by some people. The authorities here [Malaysia] are looking for real culprits now….will reveal everything once I return." According to the Most Welcome director, Malaysian police detained him purely out of suspicion.
