47th death anniversary of AL leader Aziz observed

The Awami League (AL) and its front organizations in Chittagong yesterday observed the 47th death anniversary of late AL leader MA Aziz, recalling his contributions to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War.  The speakers at the memorial meeting said honesty, devotion and courage of late M A Aziz stood supreme in establishing the ideology that opted for making Bangladesh militant-free.

Chittagong city AL organized the memorial meeting at his Halishahar residence in the port city in observance of the anniversary. Acting AL president Mahatab Uddin Chowdhury presided over the meeting while Mayor of CCC and General Secretary of City AL A J M Nasir Uddin, Vice- presidents of Chittagong City AL Noyom Uddin Chowdhury, Khorshed Alam Sujan, son of late M A Aziz Saifuddin Khaled Bahar, AL leaders Noman Al Mahmud, Sheikh Ifthekhar Saimul Chowdhury, Boktiar Uddin Khan, Lion Mohammad Hossain, and Rezaul  Karim Kaisar addressed the function.
