Pitha Utshob held at JPC

Jatiya Press Club hosted a day-long Pitha Utshob, an age-old tradition of Bengalis 'pithas', at its premises here on Friday to celebrate the winter season. Saiful Alam, vice-president of the club, also acting editor of the Daily Jugantor inaugurated the program at 10:15 am.

JPC president Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and general secretary Farida Yasmin welcomed the guests in the morning. Molla Jalal conducted the program. Shahed Chowdhury, Quddus Afrad and Mainul Alam were also present. Some 15-20 types of delicious pithas were there in the menu.
