Almas Kabir BASIS new president

Syed Almas Kabir, Director of BASIS and chief executive officer of Metronet Bangladesh Limited has been elected as the president of executive committee while Delwar Hossain Faruque, Chairman and chief executive officer of Radison Digital Technologies Limited as director of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) for 2016-18, said a press release yesterday.

Earlier, Syed Almas Kabir discharged his duties as the Senior Vice President, Vice President and Treasurer of BASIS. He was elected President by the executive committee members of BASIS.  After the resignation of Mustafa Jabbar for being inducted in the cabinet as the Post, Telecommunications and IT Minister on January 10, the post of president of BASIS fell vacant.

After being elected the president, Syed Almas Kabir called upon all employees of BASIS to go ahead together for
the greater interest of the platform.

BASIS Secretary Hashim Ahammad greeted him with flowers. Uttam Kumar Paul (Best Business Bond Limited), Mostafizur Rahman Sohel (Advanced ERP BD Limited), Sonia Bashir Kabir (Microsoft Bangladesh Limited) and Riyad SA Hussain (Magnita Digital), , Delwar Hossain Faruque (Radison Digital Technologies Limited) will perform as directors of 2016-2018.
